When you request a demo or otherwise contact us through the Website, we may collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, work email, phone number, company name, job title, and the content of your request. A demo request submitted through the Website does not itself create an account or grant access to the Platform. Any access to the Platform is provided separately under applicable contractual terms.

When you subscribe to our newsletter through the Website, we collect the information necessary to manage that subscription and send the requested communications.

When you submit recruitment-related information through forms or tools linked from the Website, we may collect the personal data and professional information you choose to provide, such as your name, contact details, CV or résumé, employment history, and any other information contained in your application materials.

6.1 When We Are the Data Controller

We control: website visitor data, demo request data, contact request data, newsletter subscription data, recruitment/application data submitted through the Website or linked tools, Platform account registration data, Platform usage analytics, and marketing communications data.

6.2 When We Are the Data Processor

For customer data you manage through our Platform, you are the Data Controller and we are the Data Processor. You determine processing purposes and means, we process per your instructions, and you're responsible for lawful processing and privacy notices to your customers.

We share data only with:

Cloud hosting, analytics, email/communication services, payment processors, and AI infrastructure providers, as well as providers of website forms and lead-capture tools, newsletter and marketing communication tools, advertising and retargeting tools, visitor identification or B2B lead-generation tools, and, where applicable, recruitment or applicant-management tools. All providers are contractually bound to protect your data.

7.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose data when required by law, to comply with legal processes, protect our rights, investigate fraud, or protect user safety.

7.3 Business Transfers

In case of merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the acquiring entity with the same privacy protections.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Volta’s aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Website shall not exceed EUR 100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability to the extent such liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable law so requires.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Volta, its affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, demands, actions, proceedings, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with (i) your breach of these Terms; (ii) your misuse of the Website; (iii) your Submissions; (iv) your violation of applicable law; or (v) your infringement of any third-party rights.

14. Suspension and Enforcement

Volta may, at any time and without liability, suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Website, or take any other action it reasonably considers appropriate, if it believes that:

  • you have breached these Terms;
  • your use of the Website poses a security, legal, or operational risk; or
  • such action is necessary to protect Volta, its users, third parties, or the Website.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

If the applicable Volta contracting or publishing entity is Wolsal SAS, these Terms shall be governed by French law and disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France.

If the applicable Volta contracting or publishing entity is WOLSAL S.r.l., these Terms shall be governed by Italian law and disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Milan, Italy.

16. General

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Volta’s failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not operate as a waiver of that right or provision.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Volta regarding the Website and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings relating to the Website.
